Dallas Renegades Home Opener to Feature Rising Country Star Ty Myers

STWF Sports | ARLINGTON, Texas | March 13, 2026 — The Dallas Renegades are turning their highly anticipated home opener into a full-scale Texas celebration, announcing that rising country music star Ty Myers will headline the halftime show when the Renegades host the Houston Gamblers on March 28.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT at Toyota Stadium, marking the start of a new era for the Renegades as they open their home schedule in Frisco with a rivalry matchup that blends football, music and Texas pride.

The announcement adds another layer of excitement to what the organization hopes will be a memorable debut in front of the home crowd.

“Ty Myers represents the next generation of Texas music, and we’re excited to welcome him to our home opener,” said Renegades head coach Rick Neuheisel. “It’s going to be an incredible atmosphere — great football, great music and a big celebration as we begin a new era at Toyota Stadium.”

Rising Star Takes the Stage

Myers has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about young voices in country music. The 18-year-old Texas native broke onto the national scene with his debut album The Select, released through RECORDS Nashville/Columbia.

The project earned three RIAA certifications and produced Myers’ first platinum single, “Ends of the Earth.” The song has surpassed 220 million global streams and continues to climb the country radio charts, cementing the singer-songwriter’s rapid rise in the industry.

The halftime performance will arrive just one day after Myers releases his highly anticipated sophomore album, Heavy On The Soul, scheduled for March 27.

Early releases from the album — including “Morning Comes,” “Message to You,” “Leaving Carolina,” “Through a Screen,” “Come On Over, Baby,” and “Two Trains” featuring Marcus King — have already generated significant buzz among fans and critics alike.

A Texas Talent on the Rise

Born and raised outside Austin, Myers grew up on a sixth-generation cattle ranch, a background that heavily influences his songwriting and musical identity. Despite his young age, the Texas artist has already accumulated more than 1.2 billion global streams across his catalog.

His breakout success has led to sold-out headline tours and high-profile touring opportunities with some of country music’s biggest names.

This spring, Myers will join Luke Combs on the stadium leg of the My Kinda Saturday Night Tour. He is also scheduled to make his debut at the renowned Stagecoach Festival later this year.

Previously, Myers has shared the stage with prominent artists such as Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, and Old Dominion.

Industry recognition has followed his meteoric rise. Myers has been named Billboard Country Rookie of the Month, featured on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list and highlighted by multiple platforms — including Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora and GRAMMY.com — as an “Artist to Watch.”

More Than Just a Game

The Renegades’ season opener promises to be more than just football. The organization is planning a full day of entertainment designed to energize fans and celebrate the club’s return to the field.

The first 5,000 fans entering the stadium will receive a free home-opener T-shirt, while pregame and postgame festivities will transform the afternoon into a festival-style experience.

Team officials hope the combination of a high-stakes Texas rivalry and a major halftime performance will create a memorable atmosphere for fans attending the game.

With single-game tickets starting at $18, the Renegades are encouraging supporters across North Texas to pack the stadium and be part of the franchise’s next chapter.

As the Renegades prepare to take the field against Houston, the organization is aiming to deliver an afternoon that captures the spirit of Texas sports — competitive football, passionate fans and a soundtrack from one of the state’s fastest-rising musical stars.
