The Dallas Wings announced on Sunday that they have released guard/forward Haley Jones. The move comes as part of a roster adjustment following the return of several key players from international duty.
Jones, who signed a hardship contract with Dallas on June 17, joined the team to help fill roster gaps left by injuries to Tyasha Harris and Maddy Siegrist, as well as national team commitments for Teaira McCowan and Luisa Geiselsöder. With McCowan and Geiselsöder set to return to Dallas this week after completing play in the 2025 EuroBasket tournament, Jones’ contract was terminated in accordance with WNBA hardship guidelines.
In her brief stint with the Wings, Jones brought depth and versatility off the bench, contributing to a team that has shown signs of resurgence, winning four of its last six games after a tough start to the season.
Originally selected by the Atlanta Dream with the sixth overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, Jones has since played for multiple teams, carving out a role as a capable wing with size and court vision.
With the Wings (5-13) beginning to regain roster stability, head coach Chris Koclanes and the front office will look to build on recent momentum as they host the Phoenix Mercury at College Park Center on July 3.
