FC Dallas and Toyota Extend Landmark Partnership, Ushering in a New Era at Toyota Stadium

FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 29, 2025) — FC Dallas and Toyota have officially reaffirmed one of Major League Soccer’s most enduring and successful partnerships, announcing a multi-year renewal of Toyota’s presenting sponsorship and naming-rights agreement for Toyota Stadium and the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco. The extension ensures that the Toyota name — long synonymous with soccer in North Texas — will continue to stand atop the venue as it undergoes a historic $182 million renovation aimed at redefining the fan experience.

A Legacy Partnership Built on Growth

Originally opened in 2005, Toyota Stadium has evolved into one of the cornerstones of American soccer — a venue that has hosted everything from FC Dallas home matches to international friendlies, NCAA championships, and major concerts. The stadium’s enduring success has been powered in part by Toyota’s long-term commitment to both the club and the community.

“We’re thrilled to extend our long-term relationship with Gulf States Toyota and Toyota Motor North America,” said Dan Hunt, President of FC Dallas. “Toyota has been an incredible partner, and we’re proud to continue aligning our brands as we move forward into the next chapter of Toyota Stadium. We share a deep passion for what we do, and we’re grateful to have Toyota by our side as we continue growing the game of soccer in the United States.”

The partnership, which began in 2013, has been a model of collaboration across the sports landscape — blending youth soccer programming, community outreach, and sustainability initiatives that have strengthened ties between the club and its supporters.

A Shared Vision for the Future

Toyota’s influence at the stadium stretches far beyond signage and sponsorship activations. As the Official and Exclusive Automotive Partner of FC Dallas, the brand has been deeply involved in elevating the fan experience and fostering grassroots development in the region.

“We are thrilled to renew our long-standing partnership with FC Dallas,” said David Christ, Group Vice President of Toyota Division. “Toyota Stadium has been home to many wonderful memories for our community, and the updates to the stadium will only further cement it as a world-class venue.”

Those updates are well underway — and they’re transformative.

A $182 Million Modernization

Approved by the Frisco City Council in September 2024, the Toyota Stadium renovation is a public-private partnership involving the City of Frisco, Frisco ISD, Frisco Community Development Corporation, Frisco Economic Development Corporation, and the Hunt Family.

Among the most notable upgrades:

  • 3,400 new seats to accommodate growing fan demand.

  • A new east-side canopy structure for shade and weather protection.

  • Expanded club and suite spaces for premium guests.

  • Upgraded broadcast and media facilities, ensuring the venue remains a top-tier destination for global coverage.

Construction on the east-side expansion is now visibly reshaping the stadium’s skyline. Future phases will emphasize comfort, accessibility, and technology — ensuring Toyota Stadium remains one of MLS’s most advanced venues when the project is completed ahead of the 2028 MLS season.

Continuing a Tradition of Excellence

Since its opening, Toyota Stadium has been the stage for some of the most iconic moments in U.S. soccer history — including MLS All-Star Games, multiple Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Finals, and fixtures for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams. It’s also home to the National Soccer Hall of Fame, making it both a living monument to the sport’s history and a vision of its future.

“Toyota Stadium isn’t just a venue,” Hunt added. “It’s a symbol of community, passion, and progress — and with Toyota’s continued partnership, we’re ensuring that legacy grows for generations to come.”

As construction continues and the next chapter unfolds, one thing remains clear: FC Dallas and Toyota are not just renewing a contract — they’re reaffirming a shared mission to grow the game, elevate the experience, and keep North Texas at the heart of American soccer.
