Former NFL Star Antonio Brown Wanted on Attempted Murder Charge Following Miami Shooting Incident

MIAMI, FL — Former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown is now the subject of a warrant for attempted murder with a firearm, following a violent altercation and shooting at a celebrity boxing event in Miami last month, multiple media outlets confirmed Friday.

The incident, which occurred during an event hosted by popular streamer Adin Ross, reportedly escalated after Brown was seen fighting with multiple individuals on social media video footage. Gunshots rang out shortly after the altercation, prompting a swift police response. Brown was detained at the scene but released after several hours without arrest.

Brown later took to social media to defend himself, writing:

“I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm… I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED.”

However, according to the warrant, witnesses identified Brown as the shooter. Authorities found two shell casings at the scene, and the man Brown allegedly assaulted told police that Brown ran at him with a gun and fired twice after the fight had ended. The victim, who says he has known Brown since 2022, also identified him on surveillance footage.

As of Friday afternoon, Brown has not turned himself in, and the Miami Police Department declined to comment, citing an ongoing investigation. The warrant reportedly sets Brown’s bond at $10,000 and includes conditions for house arrest until trial.

📉 A Troubled Post-NFL Timeline

Brown, 36, was once on a Hall of Fame trajectory with the Pittsburgh Steelers, earning four First-Team All-Pro selections and becoming one of the most prolific wideouts of his era. But his post-Steelers career has been riddled with controversy, including:

  • 2019: Traded to the Raiders but released before playing a snap.
  • 2019: Signed by the Patriots and released after one game amid sexual assault allegations.
  • 2020: Pleaded no contest to felony burglary and battery in an incident with a moving company.
  • 2021: Walked off the field mid-game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ending his NFL career.

Brown last played in the NFL in 2021 and has since bounced between music, ownership ventures, and social media controversy.

🚨 Developing Story
