FRISCO, Texas (July 3, 2025) – The Frisco RoughRiders made history Thursday night at Riders Field, drawing a franchise-record 12,081 fans for their Independence Day eve matchup — the largest crowd in the team’s 22-year history.
The standing-room-only attendance surpassed the previous high of 12,067 set on July 20, 2018, during the wildly popular Dude Perfect Night. The 2025 milestone, achieved on July 3rd — not even on the Fourth itself — highlights the continued growth of the RoughRiders’ presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth sports landscape.
“Dude Perfect Night in 2018 was one of the most unique and memorable nights in RoughRiders history,” said Scott Burchett, RoughRiders General Manager. “I’ve been here for 21 years and thought that record might never be broken. For July 3rd to eclipse it is a testament to how strong our connection is with the DFW community. Thank you to the best fans and staff in Minor League Baseball for making it happen!”
The electric atmosphere capped off a night that not only celebrated baseball but also showcased Frisco’s vibrant fanbase and promotional excellence. With patriotic festivities, fireworks, and a key Texas League clash on the field, the event delivered an unforgettable experience.
