FRISCO, Texas (June 28, 2025) — Despite another strong strikeout performance from left-hander Mitch Bratt, the Frisco RoughRiders suffered their third consecutive loss on Saturday night, falling 6-1 to the Tulsa Drillers at Riders Field. Tulsa (29-45) rode a pair of early home runs and a quality start from Chris Campos to clinch the series lead heading into Sunday’s finale.
Tulsa jumped on Bratt (4-2) early, with Kendall Simmons launching a three-run homer in the top of the first to open the scoring. One inning later, John Rhodes added to the damage with a solo shot to left, stretching the Drillers’ advantage to 4-0 before Frisco could settle in.
Frisco (40-33) scratched across their lone run in the fifth when Ian Moller looped an RBI single into shallow center, scoring Keyber Rodriguez to cut the deficit to 4-1. But Tulsa answered quickly in the sixth, tacking on two more runs, highlighted by Kole Myers’ RBI single to push the lead to 6-1.
The Riders threatened in the seventh with two runners aboard, but were unable to capitalize and went quietly over the final two innings.
Tulsa starter Campos (5-3) earned the win with a six-inning performance, surrendering just one unearned run while scattering five hits. Bratt took the loss, giving up five runs (four earned) over five innings, but continued to display swing-and-miss stuff, tallying eight strikeouts. He now ranks second in the Texas League with 83 Ks on the season.
