STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | August 9, 2026 — Frisco RoughRiders infielder Arturo Disla has been recognized for a standout month at the plate, earning Texas Rangers Minor League Player of the Month honors for July.

The Rangers announced the award Sunday, adding another accomplishment to what has already been a productive season for the 25-year-old.
Disla appeared in 23 of Frisco’s 24 games during July and was one of the most dangerous hitters in the Texas League throughout the month. He posted a .337 batting average with a .434 on-base percentage and .651 slugging percentage, producing a 1.085 OPS.
The La Vega, Dominican Republic, native also hit five home runs, drove in 23 runs and scored 14 times.
His production placed him among the Texas League’s leaders in several offensive categories.
Disla finished sixth in the league in batting average during July, while ranking third with 23 RBIs. His .651 slugging percentage was second-best in the Texas League, and his 1.085 OPS ranked third.
He also collected 28 hits, tied for sixth in the league, while his nine doubles ranked fourth. Disla finished tied for second in extra-base hits with 15.
The performance reinforced his status as one of the central pieces of a Frisco lineup that has spent much of the season among the most productive offensive groups in Double-A.
Disla has supplied a combination of power and consistency throughout the year, and his July surge helped push his season numbers toward career-best territory.
He has already matched his previous career highs with 19 home runs and 25 doubles, giving him an opportunity to establish new personal marks during the final weeks of the regular season.
His ability to impact games with both extra-base power and run production has been especially valuable for a RoughRiders club that has already secured a postseason berth after winning the Texas League South Division first-half title.
The July award also comes during an extended stretch in which Disla has continued producing at a high level beyond the calendar month.
His offensive surge has made him one of Frisco’s most reliable run producers and another player in the Rangers farm system continuing to make progress at the Double-A level.
Disla was one of four players recognized by Texas with organizational monthly honors.
Right-hander Evan Siary of Single-A Hickory was selected as the Rangers’ Starting Pitcher of the Month. Infielder John Taylor of Triple-A Round Rock earned Defender of the Month honors, while left-hander Owen Proksch of High-A Hub City was named Reliever of the Month.
For Disla, the Player of the Month recognition reflects a July in which he produced in nearly every major offensive category.
His 23 RBIs showed his effectiveness with runners on base, while the combination of five home runs and nine doubles demonstrated the extra-base power that has become a major part of his offensive profile.
With the RoughRiders entering the final stretch of the season, Disla will now look to carry that momentum into August and beyond.
Already sitting at career-high levels in home runs and doubles, the opportunity remains for him to set new personal standards while helping Frisco prepare for postseason baseball.
After a month in which he ranked among the Texas League’s best hitters, Disla now has organizational recognition to match the production.
