STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | August 10, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders are continuing their commitment to education and community involvement by recognizing five North Texas students as recipients of the 2026 RoughRiders Scholarship Program presented by InTouch Credit Union.

Each honoree will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the RoughRiders Foundation to assist with postsecondary education expenses. The recipients represent schools across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and were selected for their academic achievement, leadership and contributions within their communities.

The 2026 scholarship class includes Ella Burton of Aubrey High School, Aidan Petrof of Prestonwood Christian Academy, Lizeth Narvaez of Flower Mound High School, Yazmyn Morris of Ray Braswell High School and Carson Jarvis of Richardson High School.

For the RoughRiders organization, the annual program serves as another opportunity to extend the club’s impact beyond the baseball field.

Supporting Local Education: The Role of the Frisco RoughRiders

RoughRiders President and General Manager Scott Burchett praised the five students for the qualities they have demonstrated while preparing for the next stage of their education.

“We’re incredibly proud to recognize this year’s Frisco RoughRiders Foundation scholarship recipients,” Burchett said. “These outstanding students have demonstrated leadership in their communities and a commitment to making a positive impact.”

Burchett also credited InTouch Credit Union for helping make the scholarship program possible through its continued support.

Community partnerships have become an important part of the RoughRiders’ outreach efforts, with the scholarship initiative providing direct financial assistance to students pursuing higher education.

Kent LeGrand, President and CEO of InTouch Credit Union, said the organization is proud to again serve as presenting sponsor and support students as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

LeGrand emphasized not only the importance of helping students reach their educational goals, but also the value of encouraging them to use their future experiences and talents to benefit others.

“These five outstanding students are beginning an important new chapter, and we are honored to support them on their journey,” LeGrand said.

For Burton, Petrof, Narvaez, Morris and Jarvis, the scholarship provides both financial support and public recognition for the work they have completed throughout their high school careers.

The RoughRiders will celebrate the recipients during their upcoming home series against the San Antonio Missions, the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

Each student will be recognized on the field during the first inning of games scheduled for August 11-13 at Riders Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CT each night.

The on-field ceremonies will give fans, families and members of the community an opportunity to recognize the students while highlighting the RoughRiders Foundation’s broader mission of supporting young people across North Texas.

Although Frisco’s primary focus during the summer remains the Texas League playoff race, initiatives such as the scholarship program underscore the organization’s year-round connection to the surrounding community.

The five recipients now join a growing group of students who have benefited from the RoughRiders Foundation’s educational efforts.

As the class of 2026 prepares for college and other postsecondary opportunities, the scholarship program provides an early boost toward those goals while celebrating the leadership and service each recipient has already demonstrated.

For the RoughRiders and InTouch Credit Union, the program remains an investment not only in education, but in the next generation of North Texas community leaders.
