STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | August 14, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders will look to even their six-game series with the San Antonio Missions on Friday night when the clubs meet for game four at Riders Field.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT, with right-hander Cole Stasio taking the mound for Frisco against San Antonio left-hander Jamie Hitt. Stasio enters at 1-1 with a 4.43 ERA, while Hitt is 2-1 with a 5.87 mark.

Frisco comes into the matchup trailing the series 2-1 after an 8-6 loss Thursday night.

Frisco RoughRiders: Key Players to Watch

The RoughRiders jumped out quickly, scoring four runs in the first inning behind doubles from Sebastian Walcott, Dylan Dreiling and Arturo Disla, followed by a two-run home run from Rafe Perich.

San Antonio responded with six runs over the next two innings, using three two-run home runs against Dylan MacLean to turn a 4-0 deficit into a 6-4 lead.

Frisco continued to battle, getting an RBI single from Malcolm Moore in the sixth and a solo home run from Dreiling in the ninth, but the comeback fell short.

Dreiling’s blast gave him 18 home runs this season, extending his career high and matching Abimelec Ortiz’s 2024 total for the most by a RoughRider in a season since then.

The outfielder has been one of Frisco’s hottest hitters, batting .355 over his last 27 games with 11 doubles, seven home runs and 21 RBIs. For the season, Dreiling ranks among the Texas League leaders in batting average, OPS, RBIs, hits, total bases and runs scored.

Sebastian Walcott has also made an immediate impact since returning from the injured list on Aug. 12.

The Rangers’ top prospect is hitting .328 through his first 15 games of the season with eight doubles, three home runs, nine RBIs and a .986 OPS. Walcott was sidelined earlier this month after being struck in the head by a pickoff throw at first base.

Arturo Disla continues to provide another dangerous presence in the lineup.

Since July 10, Disla is batting .330 with 11 doubles, six home runs and 27 RBIs. The Texas Rangers’ July Minor League Player of the Month has already tied his career high with 19 home runs and established a new personal best with 27 doubles.

Meanwhile, Max Wagner remains one of the biggest power threats in the league.

Wagner enters Friday with 15 home runs after delivering a walk-off grand slam Wednesday against former Rangers reliever Jose Leclerc. Over his last 35 games, Wagner has posted a .992 OPS with 11 home runs and 28 RBIs.

Frisco’s recent offensive pattern has been unusual.

Over the last eight games, the RoughRiders have scored 28 runs while going 2-6. Opposing starting pitchers have held Frisco to a 1.66 ERA over 43.1 innings, while opposing bullpens have posted a 6.21 ERA.

That contrast has made late innings especially important.

Frisco leads Double-A with 226 runs scored in the seventh inning or later, continuing to establish itself as one of the most dangerous late-game offenses in the minors.

Overall, the RoughRiders remain one of Double-A’s strongest hitting clubs. Through 110 games, Frisco ranks second in Double-A with 991 hits and is second in the Texas League in both batting average (.265) and runs scored (644). The Riders also lead the league with 207 doubles.

Friday offers Frisco another opportunity to regain control of the series.

The RoughRiders are 11-10 against San Antonio this season and already have a postseason berth secured after winning the Texas League South Division first-half championship.

Now the focus is on finding more consistency, giving Stasio early support and turning one of baseball’s most productive offenses loose against the Missions.
