STWF Sports| FRISCO, Texas| August 25, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders open a six-game series against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Tuesday, Aug. 25, looking to build on the momentum of a much-needed win in their previous series finale.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT, with right-hander Ben Anderson set to start for Frisco against Northwest Arkansas left-hander Chase Jessee. Anderson enters with a 2-5 record and 6.59 ERA, while Jessee is 2-2 with a 3.74 ERA.

Frisco comes into the matchup after defeating Wichita 12-8 on Sunday, snapping a five-game losing streak and salvaging the final game of the series. The RoughRiders improved to 25-26 in the second half and 64-55 overall with the win.

Sunday’s finale featured the type of offensive response Frisco will hope to carry into the new series.

The RoughRiders scored three runs in the third inning to erase an early deficit, then took the lead in the fourth before Wichita tied the game again in the sixth. Theo Hardy delivered one of the biggest swings of the afternoon with his first Double-A home run, highlighting a three-run inning that put Frisco back in front for good.

The offense added three more runs in the eighth before Joey Danielson closed out the victory.

One of the biggest storylines entering Tuesday is the continued production of Dylan Dreiling.

The Rangers’ No. 13 prospect is riding a 16-game hitting streak and has been one of the hottest hitters in the Texas League. During that stretch, Dreiling is batting .439 with six doubles, five home runs, 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

For the season, he ranks third in the league with a .313 batting average, fourth in OPS at .916, second in hits with 127 and fifth in RBIs with 76.

His 21 home runs are also the most by a RoughRider since Blaine Crim hit 24 in 2022 and the most by a center fielder in franchise history.

Max Wagner continues to provide another power threat in the lineup.

Wagner has 18 home runs this season and has hit 14 over his last 43 games. His 15 home runs from the eighth and ninth spots in the batting order are the most in Minor League Baseball.

Frisco also continues to monitor the progress of top Rangers prospect Sebastian Walcott, who returned from the injured list Aug. 12 after being struck in the head by a pickoff throw earlier in the month.

The RoughRiders remain one of the most productive offensive teams in Double-A.

Highlights of the Frisco RoughRiders Season

Through 119 games, Frisco leads Double-A with 1,090 hits and a .269 team batting average. The club also ranks second in runs with 712, averaging 6.0 per game, while leading the Texas League in doubles and slugging percentage.

Late-inning production has become another major strength.

Frisco leads Double-A with 252 runs scored in the seventh inning or later and has produced 102 runs in the eighth inning alone. In the second half, the RoughRiders have scored 61 eighth-inning runs, the most in Double-A.

The bullpen, however, has been heavily taxed. Frisco relievers have thrown a Double-A-leading 104.2 innings in August while posting a 4.82 ERA.

That workload could become an important factor during a six-game road series.

Despite recent struggles, Frisco already has its postseason ticket secured after winning the Texas League South Division first half with a 39-29 record.

Tuesday’s opener gives the RoughRiders an opportunity to reset, start a new series with energy and continue preparing for another playoff run.
