STWF Sports| WICHITA, Kansas| September 8, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders begin their final road series of the regular season Tuesday night when they face the Wichita Wind Surge, the Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, at Equity Bank Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. CT in the opener of a six-game set.
Right-hander Ismael Agreda is scheduled to make his first appearance of the season for Frisco, entering with no record or ERA. Wichita will counter with right-hander Cory Lewis, who brings a 2-9 record and 3.89 ERA into the matchup.
Frisco arrives in Wichita with some momentum after closing its regular-season home schedule with a 3-2 victory over the Amarillo Sod Poodles on Sunday at Riders Field. The win allowed the RoughRiders to split the six-game series and improve to 70-61 overall.
Frisco RoughRiders: A Strong Finish to the Season
Amarillo jumped ahead with two runs in the opening inning, but Sebastian Walcott quickly answered with a solo home run in the bottom half. Frisco then moved in front during the fourth inning when Marcus Lee Sang and Luke Hanson delivered consecutive RBI singles.
The bullpen protected the one-run advantage from there. Josh Trentadue, Jonathan Brand, Joey Danielson and Bryan Magdaleno combined to shut out Amarillo the rest of the afternoon, with Magdaleno securing his third save.
Frisco’s offense remains one of the most dangerous in Double-A entering the final stretch of the regular season.
Through 131 games, the RoughRiders lead Double-A with 1,218 hits and a .272 team batting average while ranking second with 792 runs scored, an average of six runs per contest. Frisco also leads the Texas League in doubles with 253 and owns the league’s best slugging percentage at .455.
The RoughRiders have already established franchise records for runs and home runs this season.
Outfielder Dylan Dreiling continues to anchor that production. The Rangers’ No. 13 prospect leads the Texas League with a .314 batting average while ranking among the league leaders in OPS, hits, total bases, RBIs and runs scored.
Over his last 45 games, Dreiling is hitting .374 with 17 doubles, 11 home runs and 37 RBIs. His 22 home runs are the most by a RoughRider since Blaine Crim hit 24 in 2022 and represent a franchise record for a primary center fielder.
Dreiling recently saw a 25-game hitting streak come to an end, the longest streak in the Texas League this season. He also led all Minor League Baseball hitters with a .429 average in August among qualifying players.
Power has also come from Max Wagner, who has established a career high with 20 home runs. Wagner and Dreiling are the first Frisco teammates to reach the 20-homer mark in the same season since 2012.
Wagner enters the series riding a nine-game hitting streak, batting .353 with three home runs during that stretch.
Walcott has added another significant weapon since returning from right elbow surgery. Texas’ No. 1 prospect carries an 11-game hitting streak into Tuesday, batting .409 with five home runs during the run.
Late innings have been especially productive for Frisco. The RoughRiders lead Double-A with 272 runs scored from the seventh inning onward and have scored 107 runs in the eighth inning alone.
Frisco already secured its place in the Texas League postseason by winning the South Division first-half championship with a 39-29 record. It marked the franchise’s 11th playoff berth and gives the RoughRiders an opportunity to pursue their third Texas League championship after titles in 2004 and 2022.
Before postseason baseball begins, however, Frisco will look to finish its regular-season road schedule strongly against Wichita, beginning Tuesday night at Equity Bank Park.
