STWF Sports | SAN ANTONIO, Texas | July 24, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders continued their dominance at Nelson Wolff Stadium on Friday night, shutting out the San Antonio Missions 10-0 for their third consecutive victory in the six-game series.
For the second straight night, Frisco’s pitching staff kept San Antonio off the scoreboard. Cody Bradford delivered three scoreless innings during his Major League rehabilitation appearance, and Aidan Curry carried the shutout deep into the ninth as the RoughRiders improved to 15-10 in the second half and 54-39 overall.
Bradford allowed three hits and struck out four without issuing a walk. The Texas Rangers left-hander worked efficiently through his outing, preventing the Missions from generating any sustained scoring opportunities before handing the game to Curry.
Key Players in the Frisco RoughRiders’ Victory
Frisco’s offense broke through against San Antonio starter Ian Koenig in the fourth inning. Arturo Disla lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home the game’s first run and give the RoughRiders a 1-0 advantage.
The Riders then took control with a two-out rally in the fifth.
Frisco produced five consecutive hits with two outs, turning a close contest into a comfortable lead. Frainyer Chavez, Sebastian Walcott and Dylan Dreiling each delivered run-scoring hits during the surge as the RoughRiders pushed five runs across the plate and extended their advantage to 6-0.
The rally highlighted Frisco’s ability to apply pressure throughout the lineup. Rather than relying on one swing, the Riders repeatedly reached base and capitalized with runners in scoring position against Koenig, who fell to 3-8 with the loss.
Walcott led the offensive attack with a Double-A career-high four hits. The highly regarded Texas Rangers prospect added a double, drove in two runs and showcased his speed on the basepaths.
Twice, Walcott scored from first base on hits by Dreiling. His most impressive trip around the bases came when he raced home from first on an infield single, providing another example of the athleticism that has made him one of the organization’s top young players.
Dreiling also continued his strong stretch at the plate. The outfielder collected two singles and extended his hitting streak to 12 games, the longest by a RoughRiders player this season.
Disla joined him in reaching another offensive milestone. His second-inning double extended his hitting streak to 10 games before he drove in the opening run with his sacrifice fly two innings later.
While Frisco’s offense steadily expanded the lead, Curry controlled the game from the mound.
The right-hander entered in relief of Bradford and delivered 5.2 scoreless innings, allowing only two hits while striking out six. Curry took the ball into the ninth inning and came within one out of completing the game.
Thomas Ireland entered to face the final San Antonio hitter and recorded a strikeout to preserve the shutout.
The performance marked the first time the RoughRiders had recorded shutouts in consecutive games since June 6 and June 7, 2024, against the Corpus Christi Hooks.
Frisco has now outscored San Antonio 13-0 over the last two games after earning a 3-0 victory Thursday night. The Riders have combined timely power, aggressive baserunning and dominant pitching to seize control of the series.
Friday’s win also continued Frisco’s exceptional success at Nelson Wolff Stadium, where the club has consistently produced some of its best road performances in recent seasons.
With Bradford making progress in his rehabilitation assignment, Curry providing extended relief and the lineup delivering contributions from top to bottom, the RoughRiders put together one of their most complete victories of the season.
Frisco will look to extend its winning streak and secure the series when the two clubs return to action Saturday in San Antonio.
