STWF Sports| FRISCO, Texas| September 11, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders delivered one of their most complete offensive performances of the season Friday night, scoring in seven of nine innings en route to a dominant 14-2 victory over the Wichita Wind Surge at Equity Bank Park.
The win evened the six-game series at two games apiece and improved Frisco to 33-34 in the second half and 72-63 overall. Wichita fell to 29-38 and 53-80.
Frisco RoughRiders Showcase Dominance
Frisco wasted little time setting the tone.
In the first inning, Rafe Perich drove in the game’s opening run with an RBI single against Wichita starter Riley Quick. The Wind Surge answered in the bottom half when Khadim Diaw connected on a solo home run, briefly tying the game at 1-1.
That was as close as Wichita would get.
The RoughRiders broke the game open in the third inning with a six-run outburst highlighted by the biggest swing of the night. Perich launched a towering 471-foot grand slam over the RoughRiders bullpen in right field, giving Frisco a commanding advantage and providing another signature moment in his breakout season.
Later in the inning, Max Wagner added an RBI double as the RoughRiders continued to pressure Quick and the Wichita pitching staff.
Frisco’s offense did not slow down after the third.
The Riders scored in each of the next four innings, maintaining constant pressure and turning the game into a rout. Three more runs came across in the sixth before Arturo Disla added another highlight in the seventh with a booming solo home run.
By the time Frisco added one final run in the ninth, the RoughRiders had piled up 14 runs, falling just one shy of their season high.
Perich led the offensive charge with five RBIs, tying his career best. His grand slam was his 27th total home run of the season, continuing a powerful campaign.
He was not alone.
Sebastian Walcott and Dylan Dreiling each joined Perich with three-hit performances, giving Frisco production throughout the lineup. The trio repeatedly created scoring opportunities and helped the RoughRiders sustain rallies across the middle and late innings.
Frisco’s pitching staff was just as effective.
With the club operating a bullpen game, Jonathan Brand, Kai Wynyard and Brock Porter combined to hold Wichita to only two runs on three hits. Wynyard earned the victory to improve to 1-0, while Porter handled the final four innings to secure the save.
The pitching performance was especially important considering Frisco’s heavy bullpen usage throughout the season. On Friday, the relief corps delivered both length and efficiency, allowing the offense to play aggressively with a large lead.
The 14-run showing offered another example of the firepower that has defined Frisco’s offense in 2026.
With the series now tied, the RoughRiders will look to take their first lead of the set Saturday night.
Right-hander D.J. McCarty (0-3, 7.13 ERA) is scheduled to start for Frisco against Wichita right-hander Adrian Bohorquez (0-1, 1.50 ERA).
First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. at Equity Bank Park.
