STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | July 18, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders turned a pair of fourth-inning home runs and a strong pitching effort into a 4-3 victory over the Tulsa Drillers on Saturday night at Riders Field, evening the three-game series at one win apiece.

Dylan Dreiling and Yeison Morrobel supplied the decisive power for Frisco, while Cody Bradford delivered two scoreless innings in his first rehabilitation start at Riders Field. The RoughRiders improved to 11-9 in the second half and 49-38 overall. Tulsa fell to 12-8 in the second half and 58-31 for the season.

Bradford looked sharp from the opening pitch. The left-hander struck out four batters across two scoreless innings, giving Frisco an encouraging start before turning the game over to the bullpen.

Bryan Magdaleno followed with a scoreless third and ultimately earned the victory, improving to 3-1.

Tulsa starter Adam Serwinowski opened the game by retiring the first seven RoughRiders he faced, but Frisco finally broke through with two outs in the third inning. Max Wagner lined a double down the left-field line to produce the club’s first hit of the night.

Two batters later, Frainyer Chavez delivered another double, driving Wagner home and giving Frisco a 1-0 lead.

The RoughRiders quickly added to their advantage in the fourth.

The Impact of the Frisco RoughRiders’ Power Surge

Dreiling led off the inning by launching a solo home run to center field, extending Frisco’s lead to two runs. The blast gave Dreiling his team-leading 13th home run of the season, moving him ahead of Chavez and Wagner.

Frisco was not finished.

After a runner reached base, Morrobel sent a two-run homer over the wall in left field, pushing the lead to 4-0. The home run was Morrobel’s first at the Double-A level and his 15th overall this season between High-A Hub City and Frisco, adding another milestone to his career-best power campaign.

Tulsa began its comeback attempt against Dalton Pence.

Zyhir Hope connected for a home run, and the Drillers later trimmed Frisco’s lead to 4-2 through six innings. Pence recovered to work a scoreless seventh, limiting Tulsa’s momentum before the game reached the late innings.

The left-hander completed four relief innings while allowing only one earned run and striking out five. His ability to settle in after Tulsa’s initial response helped preserve Frisco’s advantage and shortened the game for the back end of the bullpen.

Hope struck again in the eighth, blasting his second home run of the night and reducing the deficit to 4-3. The Drillers suddenly had life after entering the middle innings down four runs.

Frisco refused to allow another late-inning setback.

Cole Stasio entered and closed the door, recording his first Double-A save of the season. His work secured the one-run victory one night after Tulsa used a ninth-inning homer to defeat the RoughRiders in the series opener.

The win also continued a productive stretch for Dreiling, whose fourth-inning homer extended his hitting streak to seven games. Morrobel’s milestone blast supplied the eventual deciding runs and highlighted a three-run inning that proved to be the difference.

Frisco and Tulsa will decide the series Sunday evening in the rubber match at Riders Field. Left-hander Blake Townsend, who enters with a 3-4 record and a 5.26 ERA, is scheduled to start for the RoughRiders.
