STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | April 11, 2026 — FC Dallas extended its home unbeaten streak but was left searching for more after a 1-1 draw against St. Louis City SC on Saturday night at Toyota Stadium.

FC Dallas: A Team of Resilience

The result moves Dallas to 2-1-3 (9 points) on the season, maintaining its strong form at home while highlighting areas for improvement after a sluggish first-half performance.

Dallas found its breakthrough early in the second half through Deedson, who scored his first goal for the club in the 48th minute. The Haitian wingback, making his first start, capitalized on a well-timed assist from forward Petar Musa. The sequence reflected a shift in intensity from the hosts, who emerged from halftime with renewed urgency after a flat opening 45 minutes.

For Deedson, the goal marked a milestone moment in his early FC Dallas tenure. Recently returning from international duty with Haiti, where he helped his nation secure qualification for the FIFA World Cup, the wingback showcased both composure and attacking instinct in a pivotal moment.

Despite the second-half momentum, Dallas was unable to secure a winning goal, as St. Louis responded to level the match and held firm under late pressure. The visitors controlled large portions of the first half, dictating possession and winning key physical battles, which forced Dallas into a reactive posture for extended stretches.

Head coach Eric Quill did not shy away from his assessment of the performance, emphasizing the team’s lack of sharpness early in the match.

“I didn’t recognize us in the first 45 minutes,” Quill said postgame. “They were stronger in challenges, won more aerial duels, and had the better edge. Credit to St. Louis—they came in with something to prove and showed it.”

Quill pointed to the improved mentality after halftime as a positive takeaway but stressed the need for consistency across the full 90 minutes.

“We got the goal we needed because of a shift in mentality,” he said. “But we have to be better at managing those moments. You can’t sit back—you have to keep pushing for the second goal.”

Defensively, Dallas showed resilience in key moments, particularly through homegrown goalkeeper Michael Collodi, who recorded four saves, including a critical stop in stoppage time to preserve the draw. His performance helped Dallas remain unbeaten at Toyota Stadium this season, where the club now holds two wins and three draws in 2026.

The result also extended FC Dallas’ regular-season home unbeaten streak to 10 matches dating back to August 2025, reinforcing the club’s reputation as a difficult opponent in Frisco. The match drew a sellout crowd of 11,004, continuing the club’s remarkable run of 39 consecutive regular-season sellouts, and 40 straight when including postseason play — a franchise record.

Dallas saw additional attacking reinforcements late in the match, including the home debut of the club’s No. 10, who entered in the 67th minute. The substitutions injected energy into the attack, with Dallas creating several late opportunities but ultimately unable to find a decisive second goal.

Players echoed the frustration expressed by the coaching staff, acknowledging that the performance fell short of expectations, particularly at home.

“We’re really disappointed with the result,” Collodi said. “We know we’re a better team than what we showed tonight, and it’s disappointing to come away with anything less than three points at home.”

Deedson also emphasized the importance of the halftime reset, noting the need for a stronger start moving forward.

“We started the match slow,” he said. “We needed a better start to the second half, and I think we did that. But we have to play like that from the beginning.”

As the club looks ahead, Dallas will host the LA Galaxy on April 18 in a highly anticipated matchup at Toyota Stadium. With momentum still intact at home but expectations rising, the Wings—focused on translating second-half energy into complete performances—will aim to convert draws into wins as the season progresses.
