STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | July 10, 2026 — FC Dallas has rewarded one of its most productive young attackers with a new long-term deal, signing forward Logan Farrington to a contract extension through the 2027-28 season.

The agreement also includes club options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 campaigns, giving Dallas the ability to keep Farrington under team control for several more years as he continues developing into a key piece of the club’s attack.
Farrington has taken another significant step forward during the 2026 season. The 24-year-old has appeared in 14 matches, scoring a career-high six goals while adding a team-leading four assists. His combination of finishing, movement and chance creation has helped make him one of FC Dallas’ most dependable attacking contributors.
One of his strongest performances came in the Texas Derby against the Houston Dynamo on March 21. Farrington scored twice and added an assist, earning a place in the MLS Team of the Matchweek Starting XI for Week 5.
The derby performance also began a notable stretch for the Wisconsin native. Farrington scored in consecutive matches for the first time in his professional career, finding the net against Houston before adding another goal in FC Dallas’ road victory over D.C. United on April 4.
His production this season has reinforced the promise he showed after entering Major League Soccer as one of the top selections in the 2024 draft class.
FC Dallas selected Farrington with the third overall pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. He later signed a new contract with the club on Jan. 22, 2025, and has steadily expanded his role across the first team and the organization’s developmental pathway.
Since joining Dallas, Farrington has recorded 15 goals and 16 assists in 75 appearances. His 31 combined goal contributions are the most by any player selected in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, a reflection of both his availability and his growing influence in the final third.
Farrington has also made an impact with North Texas SC. He helped the club win the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup, scoring in the championship match on Nov. 9. That performance added another major milestone to his first professional season and demonstrated his ability to contribute in high-pressure situations.
During the 2024 MLS campaign, Farrington also joined a select group of players in league history. He became one of only six players to record multiple matches with both a goal and an assist while coming off the bench in a single season.
That early success established him as a dangerous attacking option capable of changing matches in limited minutes. Since then, he has developed into a more consistent presence and has shown the versatility to contribute as a scorer, creator and pressing forward.
The new contract gives FC Dallas continuity at an important attacking position while recognizing Farrington’s performance since arriving in North Texas.
For the club, the extension represents another investment in a player developed through the MLS draft system and integrated through both North Texas SC and the first team. Farrington’s progression has provided Dallas with meaningful production while also strengthening the club’s long-term roster foundation.
For Farrington, the agreement offers additional security as he enters the prime stages of his career. The structure of the deal also gives him the opportunity to remain with FC Dallas through the 2029-30 season if the club exercises both options.
As Dallas prepares for the second half of the 2026 campaign, Farrington will continue to play a central role in an attack seeking greater consistency and a place in the postseason. His new contract ensures that one of the team’s rising offensive pieces remains part of that pursuit well beyond the current season.
