STWF Sports | FRISCO, Texas | July 8, 2026 — FC Dallas forward Petar Musa has added another milestone to an already memorable season, earning selection to the 2026 Major League Soccer All-Star roster.
MLS All-Star head coach Dean Smith named Musa among the league’s coach selections, giving the Croatian striker the second All-Star honor of his MLS career. Musa will represent the league when the MLS All-Stars face the LIGA MX All-Stars on Wednesday, July 29, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, with coverage available on MLS on Apple TV.
The recognition comes during a remarkable year for Musa, who has continued to establish himself as one of the league’s most productive forwards while also making history on the international stage.
Petar Musa: A Rising Star in MLS
Musa represented Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and scored against England during the nation’s tournament opener at Dallas Stadium. With the goal, he became the first active FC Dallas player to score in a World Cup match. He also started Croatia’s group-stage fixtures against England and Panama.
At the club level, Musa has scored 12 MLS goals this season and remains firmly involved in the Golden Boot race. His most recent league goal came during FC Dallas’ 3-2 road victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on May 16.
The 28-year-old is tied with club legend Kenny Cooper for third place on FC Dallas’ all-time scoring list with 46 goals. He is also tied for second in the league’s Golden Boot standings alongside Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi.
Musa has recorded three multi-goal performances this season and six during his FC Dallas career. That total matches Cooper and Roland Lamah for the fourth-most multi-goal games in club history.
One of Musa’s defining performances came March 16 against San Diego FC, when he produced the second hat trick of his FC Dallas career. He became the first player in club history to record multiple hat tricks, while the performance represented the 12th three-goal game in franchise history.
His dominant display earned MLS Player of the Matchday honors for Matchday 4, marking the second time he has received the recognition.
Musa’s 2026 form follows a record-setting 2025 campaign. He scored 19 goals across all competitions last season, tying Jason Kreis for the most goals by an FC Dallas player in a single year.
FC Dallas acquired Musa before the 2024 season in the largest transfer transaction in club history. Since arriving in North Texas, he has developed into the focal point of the club’s attack and one of the league’s most dangerous finishers.
Before joining MLS, Musa spent two seasons with Portuguese powerhouse S.L. Benfica. He scored 17 goals in 66 appearances and helped the club win the 2022-23 Liga Portugal championship and Portuguese Super Cup.
His European résumé also includes time with Boavista FC, Union Berlin and several clubs in the Czech Republic. Musa won two league championships and a Czech Cup with Slavia Prague and captured the 2019-20 Czech First League Golden Boot.
A native of Zagreb, Musa has made 13 senior appearances for Croatia. He debuted against Wales in March 2023 and scored his first international goal during a 3-1 victory over the Faroe Islands in November 2025.
Musa joins a 2026 MLS All-Star roster assembled through fan, player and media voting, coach selections and commissioner appointments. His inclusion gives FC Dallas another prominent representative on one of the league’s biggest summer stages.
