Hickory, NC – The National Arena League (NAL) has officially accepted the Beaumont Renegades’ request to step away from league participation for the 2026 season.
The decision follows formal communication from the Renegades organization and aligns with NAL governance protocols. While the team will not compete in the upcoming season, the league remains grateful for Beaumont’s contributions, especially during a highly competitive 2025 campaign.
“The National Arena League and its Board of Directors always strive to act in the best interest of the league and its member organizations,” said Commissioner Brandon Ikard. “We wish the Beaumont Renegades continued success and thank them for their professionalism throughout this process.”
While this marks a pause in the Renegades’ NAL participation, the league does not view it as a permanent departure. The door remains open for future collaboration or potential readmittance, should conditions allow.
As speculation grows regarding the team’s next chapter, a key question arises: Will Beaumont join the Arena Football 1 (AF1) league next season, or pursue opportunities elsewhere? That seems to be the consensus thus far, though no official announcement has been made.
