Caleb John Boushley…Attended the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley from 2013-2014 before transferring to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse…Three-year record of 24-5 with La Crosse from 2015-2017, including being named First Team All-American in 2016 and Second Team All-American in 2017 by D3Baseball.com…Born in Neenah, Wis., and grew up a Milwaukee Brewers fan, with his favorite players being Geoff Jenkins and Ben Sheets…Estimated he had around 400 family and friends on hand for his debut at American Family Field on 9/29/23, a game in which he earned the win as part of the Brewers’ 4-3, 10-inning victory over the Cubs…Recalls skipping a night of work in September 2011 to attend a Brewers game in which Ryan Braun hit a walk-off home run to down the Rockies…”We started up in the nosebleeds and we worked our way down to about four rows behind the dugout,” Boushley said of his experience that night, a game the Brew Crew won in 11 innings.

Made two relief appearances with Minnesota while spending balance of season with St. Paul (AAA), going 9-6 with a 5.23 ERA (78 ER/134.1 IP) in 26 games (all starts) for the Saints…Pitched in three Grapefruit League contests for the Twins before beginning the year with St. Paul…Went 3-1 with a 4.00 ERA (12 ER/27.0 IP) and 30 strikeouts in five April starts with the Saints…Had his contract selected by Minnesota on 5/1 but was optioned on 5/2 without appearing…Made three more starts with St. Paul before being recalled by the Twins on 5/19 and appearing in relief on 5/20 at WAS (2.0 IP, three H, two R/ER, BB, SO)…Was optioned to St. Paul on 5/23, designated for assignment on 7/14 and sent outright to St. Paul on 7/16…Contract was selected by Minnesota on 8/27 and appeared on the same day in relief for the Twins vs. ATL, firing two scoreless frames in an 8-6 defeat…Marked his first scoreless appearance in MLB (third game)…Optioned back to the Saints the next day and finished the season with St. Paul after being designated for assignment on 9/1…Allowed 22 home runs with the Saints, tied for fifth-most in the International League… Elected free agency following the season and signed a Minor League contract with Texas on 11/15.

2023

Spent most of the season with Nashville (AAA) in the Milwaukee system…Had his contract selected by the Brewers on 9/29 and made his Major League debut that day vs. the Cubs…Earned the win in the Brewers’ 4-3, 10-inning walk-off victory after allowing one run on one hit (one HR), with two walks and five strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work…Fanned Patrick Wisdom in the eighth inning for his first career strikeout…Became just the fourth pitcher in Milwaukee Brewers history to pick up the win in his MLB debut in a relief outing of at least 2.1 innings…The others: Ariel Peña on 9/5/15-G2 at CIN (3.0 IP), Mike Ignasiak on 8/22/19 at TOR (2.1 IP) and Dave Stapleton on 9/14/87 at NYY (3.1 IP).

2022

Spent the entire season with Nashville, tying for the International League lead in wins (12) and ranking among league leaders in ERA (second, 3.25), opponent batting average (third, .226), WHIP (third, 1.17) and starts (tied for fourth, 25)…Led qualified Brewers farmhands in wins and ERA.

2021

Split the campaign between San Antonio (AA) and El Paso (AAA), going 5-11 with a 5.21 ERA (67 ER/115.2 IP) in 24 games (23 starts)…Tossed first career complete game on 6/28 with El Paso vs. Round Rock (7.0 IP, eight H, three R/ER, four SO).
