Postgame Recap: Las Vegas Aces 88, Dallas Wings 84

Michelob ULTRA Arena | Las Vegas, NV

The Dallas Wings let a golden opportunity slip away Friday night in Las Vegas, falling to the Aces 88-84 in a rollercoaster Commissioner’s Cup matchup that saw both teams hold double-digit leads. Despite a resilient third-quarter surge and a standout effort from Arike Ogunbowale, the Wings (1-11) were unable to close, surrendering a late 17-2 run capped by Jewell Loyd’s clutch three-pointer with under 30 seconds remaining.

🔥 Late Collapse Spoils Dallas Breakthrough

After Luisa Geiselsöder’s layup pushed the Wings ahead 82-71 with 3:55 to play, it appeared Dallas was in position to snap a nine-game losing streak. But the defending champion Aces (5-4) regrouped out of a timeout and stormed back, using the free-throw line as their weapon of choice. Las Vegas hit 14 of its 26 free throws in the final minutes, including Jackie Young’s flawless 11-of-11 night from the stripe.
