Renegades Standout Jayden Price Signs with New Orleans Saints

ARLINGTON, TX — One of the UFL’s top cornerbacks is headed back to the NFL. Former Arlington Renegades defensive back and return specialist Jayden Price has officially signed with the New Orleans Saints, the team announced Friday.

Price, who appeared in all 10 games for the Renegades during the 2025 season, made his presence felt across multiple phases of the game. The 25-year-old recorded 29 tackles, two tackles for loss, a half sack, 12 pass breakups (tied for the UFL lead), a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. On special teams, Price was just as impactful, serving as Arlington’s primary punt returner with 20 returns for 194 yards — an average of 9.7 yards per return.

Price joined Arlington via trade from the Birmingham Stallions ahead of the 2025 season and quickly became a cornerstone of the Renegades’ secondary.

NFL Roots and College Pedigree

Before his UFL breakout, Price signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft. He impressed in the preseason, notably leading the team with seven tackles in a game against the Miami Dolphins, but was ultimately released during final roster cuts.

A product of North Dakota State, Price was a key contributor on one of college football’s most dominant FCS programs. In five seasons with the Bison, he appeared in 71 games, registering 107 tackles, three interceptions, 17 pass breakups, and a remarkable five punt return touchdowns — showcasing the versatility and explosiveness that NFL scouts covet.

Looking Ahead

The Arlington Renegades retain Price’s UFL rights, should he return to the league at a future date. But for now, the Saints are banking on Price to bring depth, speed, and special teams prowess to a secondary that has been searching for consistency.

His journey — from FCS standout to UFL leader and now back to the NFL — is a testament to the developmental power of spring football and a reminder that some players just need the right opportunity to shine.
