Terrebonne Off to Hot Start Due to Adams Dominance

Terrebonne’s Quincy Adams Having a Breakout Season

Terrebonne High School running back Quincy “Bear” Adams is putting together one of the most impressive seasons in recent memory. Known for his mix of power, speed, and vision, Adams has quickly become the centerpiece of the Tigers’ offense and a name to watch across Louisiana high school football.

Setting the Tone

From the opening kickoff of the 2025 season, Adams has been electric. At 5’10”, 205 pounds, he combines a bruising running style with surprising quickness, making him nearly impossible to bring down in one-on-one situations. Terrebonne’s coaches have leaned on him heavily, and Adams has delivered week after week.

Early Season Highlights

  • Week 1 vs. Riverside Academy: Adams scored all three of Terrebonne’s touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air, powering the Tigers to a 24–13 win.

  • Week 2 vs. Ellender: In a dominant 42–3 victory, Adams helped pace a balanced rushing attack that overwhelmed the opposition.

  • Week 3 vs. St. James: Adams had a career night, rushing 20 times for 276 yards and three touchdowns. His explosive performance was the difference in a statement win for Terrebonne.

  • Week 4 vs. Hahnville: Against one of the state’s top programs, Adams nearly hit the 300-yard mark on the ground while scoring four touchdowns. His performance carried the Tigers to a thrilling 52–38 win that snapped Hahnville’s undefeated streak.

Season at a Glance

Through the first month of the season, Adams has already found the end zone nine times. His ability to both break long runs and grind out tough yards makes him the definition of a workhorse back. In addition, his occasional contributions as a receiver keep defenses guessing and open up the playbook for Terrebonne.

Why Adams Stands Out

  1. Physical dominance – Adams runs with authority, often requiring multiple defenders to bring him down.

  2. Explosiveness – He’s capable of turning routine carries into highlight-reel touchdowns.

  3. Consistency in big games – Against top competition, Adams has elevated his play instead of shrinking from the spotlight.

  4. Team synergy – Terrebonne’s offensive line deserves credit for creating space, but Adams’ vision and decision-making maximize every opening.

Looking Ahead

The biggest questions for Adams moving forward are how well he can maintain this pace and how opponents will adjust. District play and the playoffs will bring tougher defenses, but if his first four games are any indication, Adams is more than ready for the challenge.

With his production, leadership, and highlight-worthy runs, Quincy Adams has already cemented himself as one of the premier backs in Louisiana. If he continues at this pace, Terrebonne could be primed for a deep playoff push — with Adams leading the way.
