Texas Recruit Bell Out For Season

Texas Commit Dia Bell to Miss Rest of 2025 Season

American Heritage (Plantation, Florida) quarterback Dia Bell, one of the nation’s top recruits and a Texas commit, announced on social media that he will miss the remainder of the 2025 football season due to a “minor procedure.”

Bell, the son of former NBA player Raja Bell, did not share specifics about whether the procedure was injury-related. In his statement, he reflected on his high school journey and expressed heartbreak over not being able to finish his senior season or chase another state championship with his teammates.

He was absent from American Heritage’s 24-17 overtime loss to Edna Karr on Friday. Bell had opened the season strong, throwing for 540 yards and four touchdowns without an interception.

Widely considered one of the top prospects in the Class of 2026, Bell is ranked as the No. 4 overall player and the nation’s top quarterback. Last year, he passed for 2,597 yards and 29 touchdowns, and he earned MVP honors at the Elite 11 Finals.
