This Is Bad, Bro’: Logan Paul Reacts to Jake Paul Fighting Anthony Joshua

STWF Sports|Nov. 20, 2025 – Logan Paul has openly questioned his brother Jake Paul’s state of mind as the YouTuber-turned-boxer prepares for the most dangerous test of his career — a professionally sanctioned heavyweight clash with former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua.

The fight, scheduled for December 19 in Miami, will be contested over eight rounds with 10oz gloves, and has drawn widespread criticism from fighters, fans, and analysts who fear the massive size, skill, and power disparity could lead to serious consequences for Paul.

For Logan, the concern is not playful brotherly banter — it’s very real.

“Is this guy out of his mind?” — Logan Paul reacts

Logan shared his stunned reaction in a newly released YouTube video titled “I’m Scared For Jake.” Filming Jake during a physio session, Logan didn’t mince words.

“Let me take a second… is this m********r out of his mind?” Logan asked, staring in disbelief.

Jake, lounging on a treatment table with trademark bravado, fired back instantly.

“It’s light work. I’m gonna school his slow lanky ass… heavyweight b*** ass… snarltooth m***********.”*

The video then cut to a montage of Joshua landing thunderous punches — a stark contrast to Jake’s casual confidence — before the brothers resumed debating the terrifying matchup.

Logan, realizing the physical mismatch, joked:

“What’s your strategy? You could go all Andy Ruiz on him… pop a Snickers and whoop his a*.”*

He even compared the fight to Jake’s previously canceled showdown with Gervonta Davis:

“Gervonta Davis and you have the same height difference as you and Anthony Joshua… you’re literally the complete opposite of the spectrum.”

Jake admitted one of the many disparities between him and the British powerhouse:

“Yeah, I did Google his height… and I lied online… I’m only six foot.”

To which Logan replied:

“You’ve got big f***** balls.”*

The real problem: The gap in size, power, and résumé

While Jake Paul (12–1, 9 KO) has been boxing for five years and made genuine strides, none of his opponents come close to the caliber of Anthony Joshua (28–4, 25 KO).

Joshua has beaten Wladimir Klitschko, fought Oleksandr Usyk twice, and dispatched elite heavyweights with frightening knockout power. Jake has never faced an active heavyweight — and certainly not one with Joshua’s pedigree.

With a pro career largely built on cruiserweight-sized opposition, Paul enters the ring with a serious deficit in:

  • Height

  • Reach

  • Weight

  • Experience

  • Power

  • Championship rounds

Even Jake’s own family members have indicated their fear. His mother, Pam Stepnick, previously said she was “terrified” about the matchup.

Help on the way? Lawrence Okolie offers sparring

One bright spot for Jake is the offer from former cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie, who has volunteered to spar with him. Okolie’s size, reach, and power provide a level of preparation Paul has never experienced — though sparring can only do so much to imitate a former unified heavyweight king.

Daniel Cormier weighs in: “That’s brave… and kinda crazy”

Logan also consulted UFC Hall of Famer and commentator Daniel Cormier, who acknowledged Jake’s improvements — but couldn’t hide his concern.

“Stop treating Jake like he’s not a boxer… he can fight, man. But Anthony Joshua? That’s bad, bro. Did you see what he did to Francis Ngannou?”

Logan said he raised that exact concern with Jake, only to be met with even more bravado.

“You know what he said? ‘Francis is light work too!’”

Cormier’s response summed up the feeling across the combat sports community:

“Oh my God… he’s kinda crazy. But you’ve got to give him credit. Fighting Joshua with no parameters in place? That’s brave.”

A high-risk, high-reward gamble

Jake Paul’s self-belief has carried him far beyond what most expected when he first entered boxing. But this time, even his closest allies are sounding the alarm.

Joshua represents a different world — a world of elite heavyweights, devastating knockouts, and championship pedigree. And on December 19, Jake will step into that world without a safety net.

Whether it ends in historic shock or brutal disaster, one thing is clear:

Jake Paul has never faced a challenge like Anthony Joshua — and his own brother is scared for him.
