BALTIMORE — In a game played under blistering 100-degree heat at Camden Yards, Trevor Rogers delivered a career performance in his home debut, guiding the Baltimore Orioles to a dominant 6-0 win over the Texas Rangers on Monday night.

Rogers (1-0) was sensational in his third start with the Orioles, tossing a career-high eight scoreless innings. The former Marlins lefty allowed just three hits, struck out four, and didn’t issue a single walk across 101 pitches—72 of them for strikes. It marked the longest outing by an Orioles pitcher this season.

Jackson Holliday provided the offensive firepower, finishing 3-for-5 with four RBIs, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning that blew the game open. Holliday also drove in Baltimore’s first run of the night with a two-out double in the third, following a double from Chadwick Tromp—who was making his Orioles debut after being recalled earlier in the day.

Baltimore added insurance in the seventh on an RBI groundout by Coby Mayo, while Gunnar Henderson drew an intentional walk, extending the Orioles’ streak of games with a walk to 156 straight contests, setting a new franchise record.

Texas starter Patrick Corbin (4-7) struggled under the heat and pressure, allowing five runs on nine hits in five innings. The Rangers’ offense never found traction, mustering only three hits all night and going 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position.

Key Stats & Notes:

  • Jackson Holliday logged his seventh three-hit game of the season.
  • Trevor Rogers’ eight innings were the most by an Orioles starter in 2025.
  • Baltimore’s bullpen did not need to be used until the ninth, with Rogers firmly in control.
  • The Orioles’ pitching staff entered the game holding opponents to an AL-low .213 average with two strikes, a trend that continued Monday night.

The Rangers (38-41) will look to bounce back in Game 2 of the series Tuesday, while the Orioles (34-44) hope to build momentum as they inch closer to .500. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. CT.
