The New Orleans Saints have named veteran broadcaster Stan Verrett as the host of their new pregame show, which will launch with the 2025 NFL season. The 60-minute program, presented by Cutwater, will air on all official Saints digital platforms beginning Sunday, September 7, when the team faces the Arizona Cardinals.
A New Orleans native and St. Augustine High School alumnus, Verrett brings more than 25 years of experience at ESPN. He started his career as a weekend sports anchor at WDSU-TV in New Orleans before joining ESPN in 2000, where he co-hosted the 1 a.m. edition of SportsCenter alongside Neil Everett. In 2020, Howard University honored him with the Alumni Award for Distinguished Postgraduate Achievement.
Joining Verrett on the pregame show will be Saints legend Scott Shanle and team reporter Erin Summers. The program will provide fans with in-depth analysis, interviews, and coverage designed to enhance the game-day experience.
Saints President Dennis Lauscha expressed enthusiasm about Verrett’s return to New Orleans, saying, “Stan’s experience, insight, and love for this city make him the perfect host to lead this new pregame show and help us deliver an engaging, high-quality show to our fans.”
Fans can catch the pregame show on the Saints’ official digital channels starting with the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals.
