No. 4 Texas Longhorns women’s basketball delivered a statement win Thursday night, defeating No. 5 LSU Tigers women’s basketball 77–64 at the Moody Center in a top-five showdown that reshaped the Southeastern Conference race.

The game was tight through three quarters before Texas seized control early in the fourth. The Longhorns opened the final period with a decisive 10–0 run, flipping a one-possession contest into a double-digit lead and never looking back. Texas outscored LSU 20–11 over the final 10 minutes, using defensive pressure and timely shot-making to pull away.

Sophomore star Madison Booker led the way for Texas with 18 points, controlling the tempo and answering LSU pushes throughout the night.
