ARLINGTON, Texas (June 24, 2025) — On a night when defense reigned supreme, the Dallas Wings delivered one of their most complete performances of the season, shutting down a red-hot Atlanta Dream squad 68-55 in front of a sold-out crowd at College Park Center.
Dallas (4-12) held Atlanta (10-5) to a season-low 55 points — including just 10 in the first quarter — marking a defensive high point in a season that’s starting to show signs of a turnaround. The victory was the Wings’ third in their last four games.
Arike Ogunbowale once again led the charge, scoring 21 points and dishing out four assists. But the night belonged to Li Yueru, who notched a dominant double-double with 10 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to go along with stout interior defense.
Quarter-by-Quarter Recap
First Quarter: Dallas 19, Atlanta 10

Second Quarter: Dallas 12, Atlanta 19
The Dream clawed back thanks to Rhyne Howard, who posted eight of her game-high 23 points in the quarter. Still, Dallas managed to hold a 31-29 halftime edge behind timely buckets from Ogunbowale and Paige Bueckers.
Third Quarter: Dallas 19, Atlanta 11
Dallas came out of the locker room on fire, opening with a 9-1 run fueled by balanced scoring and gritty defense. Ogunbowale added seven points in the frame, while Aziaha James and Bueckers chipped in on both ends. Atlanta never got closer than five points the rest of the way.
Fourth Quarter: Dallas 18, Atlanta 15
The Wings closed it out with poise, as Ogunbowale delivered another six points and Myisha Hines-Allen provided key minutes off the bench. Dallas maintained a double-digit cushion for much of the quarter, keeping Atlanta at bay.
