WNBA Game Preview: Dallas Wings vs. Atlanta Dream – June 24, 2025

Arlington, TX – The Dallas Wings return to the Lone Star State to kick off a pivotal four-game homestand Tuesday night against the surging Atlanta Dream. Tipoff from College Park Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, with Ron Thulin, Naismith Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, and sideline reporter Tiffany Bias-Patmon on the local broadcast for KFAA29. The matchup is presented by Texas Life Insurance Company.

The Wings (3-12) are aiming to regroup after a tightly contested 91-88 overtime loss to the Washington Mystics on Sunday, a game that featured explosive efforts from Arike Ogunbowale (27 points) and standout rookie Paige Bueckers (20 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists). Despite the setback, Dallas enters with confidence following back-to-back wins earlier in the week over Golden State and Connecticut.

Atlanta (10-4), meanwhile, is one of the hottest teams in the WNBA, winning five of its last six, including a dominant 93-80 performance over the Chicago Sky. The Dream are led by a balanced offensive attack and suffocating defense that ranks among the league’s top five in steals and opponent field goal percentage.

Tuesday’s matchup marks the second meeting between the two squads this season. Atlanta claimed the first on May 24, 83-75, in a game where NaLyssa Smith paced the Wings with 13 points as one of five players in double figures. The Wings will look to flip the script at home, where they’ll have the opportunity to claw back into the series with two of the next three games against Atlanta set in North Texas.

Looking Ahead
Following the Dream matchup, the Wings will shift venues but remain in DFW, hosting the Indiana Fever Friday night at the American Airlines Center. That nationally televised showdown (ION, 6:30 p.m. CT) will pit three recent No. 1 overall picks — Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, and Aliyah Boston — in one of the WNBA’s most anticipated games of the season.
