ARLINGTON, TX (July 3, 2025) — Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers has been named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for June, the league announced Thursday. The honor marks the first monthly award of Bueckers’ professional career and the first for a Wings rookie since Arike Ogunbowale in 2019.
Over seven games in June, Bueckers delivered an elite stat line:
-
21.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game
-
47.5% shooting from the field and an astounding 92.9% from the free-throw line
Her 21.6 points per game ranked third among all players and led all guards across the league for the month. She also stood as the only WNBA player to average at least 20 points and five assists in June. Among rookies, she dominated the leaderboard—ranking first in both scoring and assists, and second in steals.
Bueckers’ defining moment came on June 11 against Phoenix, when she poured in a career-high 35 points, the second-highest scoring effort by any player in the league that month and the only 30-point game by a rookie in 2025.
She closed the month with another milestone—being named a 2025 WNBA All-Star Game starter, making her the only rookie selected to the starting lineup. Bueckers topped the All-Star guard voting with the highest weighted score, combining votes from fans, media, and players.
