STWF Sports| ARLINGTON, Texas| September 19, 2026 — The Dallas Wings will close out their 2026 regular-season home schedule Saturday afternoon with both playoff momentum and emotion surrounding the final game at College Park Center.
Dallas (25-16) hosts the Phoenix Mercury (15-26) on Saturday, Sept. 19, at noon CT, with the matchup airing nationally on CBS. Jordan Kent will handle play-by-play, Isis Young will serve as analyst and Hailey Sutton will report from the sideline.
The Wings will also host their final theme game of the season, “Thank You Fans & Arlington,” recognizing the supporters and Arlington community that have backed the franchise throughout its time at College Park Center.
Key Players for the Dallas Wings in Playoffs
Dallas enters the matchup riding a five-game winning streak and playing some of its best basketball of the season.
The Wings most recently defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 97-77 on Thursday night. After the teams went into halftime tied at 44, Dallas took control with a dominant second half, outscoring Los Angeles 53-33 over the final 20 minutes.
Jessica Shepard continued her standout season by recording her WNBA-leading fifth triple-double, finishing with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Paige Bueckers led Dallas in scoring for the 23rd time this season, posting a game-high 19 points.
The Wings will now turn their attention to a Phoenix team they have already beaten once this season.
Dallas earned an 85-70 victory over the Mercury on June 11 in Arlington, with Bueckers scoring 31 points and Shepard adding a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
That win continued a strong recent run for Dallas in the series. The Wings have won three of the last four regular-season meetings against Phoenix and will have an opportunity to build on that success in a unique back-to-back scheduling situation.
Saturday’s matchup will be the first of two consecutive games between the teams. After meeting in Arlington, Dallas will travel to Phoenix for a Sept. 21 matchup at 9 p.m. CT.
Phoenix enters Saturday after earning a 94-91 road victory over the Portland Fire on Thursday. The Mercury received balanced production in the win, with six players scoring in double figures.
Rookie Shay Ciezki led Phoenix with 22 points off the bench, giving the Mercury a spark as they look to finish the regular season on a strong note.
For Dallas, the game carries significance beyond the standings.
The Wings have already secured a postseason berth and are continuing to build momentum heading into the playoffs. Maintaining their defensive intensity, ball movement and balanced scoring will remain important as the regular season winds down.
The final home game also adds a sentimental element, with Dallas celebrating the fan base and Arlington community before turning fully toward the postseason.
Phoenix still holds the advantage in the all-time series at 50-35, but Dallas has had the upper hand recently.
With the Wings entering Saturday on a five-game winning streak and the Mercury coming off a narrow road victory, the matchup offers another opportunity for Dallas to sharpen its postseason form while closing its regular-season home slate on a high note.
