STWF Sports | CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas | July 12, 2026 — The Frisco RoughRiders closed their road trip with a historic display of power Sunday afternoon, launching six home runs in an 11-3 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks at Whataburger Field.
Frisco RoughRiders Showcase Unmatched Power
Frisco won the six-game series 4-2 and improved to 10-8 in the second half and 49-37 overall. Corpus Christi fell to 9-9 in the half and 40-47 on the season.
The RoughRiders’ six home runs established a season high and tied the record for the most by one team in a game at Whataburger Field. It marked only the third six-homer performance at the ballpark since it opened in 2005.
Texas Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford made his latest rehabilitation appearance for Frisco and worked the opening inning. Corpus Christi scored on a double steal, but Bradford limited the damage to one run before completing his scheduled outing.
The Hooks scored during the first inning in five of the six games in the series, but the early advantage rarely held. Frisco won four of the five contests in which it trailed after the opening frame and improved to 10-10 this season when behind after one inning.
The RoughRiders answered Bradford’s early deficit immediately.
Arturo Disla drove a two-run home run in the top of the second inning, giving Frisco a 2-1 advantage against Corpus Christi starter Cole Hertzler. Rafe Perich doubled the margin one inning later with a two-run shot of his own.
The Hooks scored in the bottom of the third to make it 4-2, but Frisco continued applying pressure.
Corey Joyce delivered an RBI single in the fourth before the RoughRiders produced another power surge in the fifth. Perich hit his second home run of the afternoon, and Dylan Dreiling followed with a solo blast as Frisco went back-to-back and extended its lead to 7-2.
Perich’s performance marked his first multi-home run game at the Double-A level and his third overall this season. He previously recorded two multi-homer outings with High-A Hub City during May.
Corpus Christi scored again in the bottom of the fifth, but the RoughRiders quickly restored control.
Joyce homered in the sixth, continuing his productive day and extending Frisco’s string of long balls. Dreiling later added a two-run triple, pushing the lead to 10-3 and placing himself one hit away from completing the cycle.
Keith Jones II supplied the final run in the eighth when he launched his 10th home run of the season. The blast completed the scoring and gave Frisco six homers from five different players.
Disla, Joyce and Jones have now homered in consecutive games, providing another indication of the depth and power throughout the RoughRiders’ lineup. Disla also finished one triple shy of the cycle, while Dreiling needed a single to complete the feat.
Janser Lara earned the victory from the bullpen and improved to 3-1. The right-hander allowed one run across two innings and struck out four, helping Frisco maintain control after Bradford’s brief rehabilitation start.
The victory provided a strong response after Corpus Christi won the previous two games, including Saturday’s 11-8 walk-off result. Frisco’s offense left little opportunity for another late comeback, scoring in six different innings and finishing the series with one of its most dominant performances of the season.
The RoughRiders will now pause for the All-Star break before returning home to face the Tulsa Drillers in a three-game series. The opener is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on July 17 at Riders Field.
