STWF Sports| FRISCO, Texas| September 2, 2026 — FC Dallas has strengthened its attacking depth with the addition of Nigerian winger Daniel Job, acquiring the 21-year-old via transfer from Kongsvinger IL of Norway’s OBOS-ligaen.
Job signed a U22 Initiative contract through the 2029-30 Major League Soccer season, with a club option for 2030-31. He will occupy an international roster slot once his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate are finalized.
As part of the deal, FC Dallas also acquired Job’s Discovery Priority Rights from Red Bull New York in exchange for $100,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money.
The move adds another young attacking piece to a Dallas roster that continues to emphasize development, speed and long-term upside.

“Daniel is a promising young winger who has excelled in Norway and generated a lot of interest from clubs across Europe,” FC Dallas Chief Soccer Officer Andre Zanotta said. “His speed and ability to attack defenders will give us another dynamic option in the final third.”
Job arrives in North Texas after a productive stretch with Kongsvinger, where he made 20 appearances and recorded eight goals and nine assists during the 2026 campaign. He debuted for the club on April 7 and most recently found the net in the opening round of the Norwegian Football Cup against Skreia IL.
His ability to contribute both as a scorer and creator should give Dallas additional flexibility in wide areas, particularly as the club prepares for the closing stretch of the MLS regular season.
Before joining Kongsvinger, Job spent time with Sarpsborg 08, first arriving on loan in July 2024 before the move became permanent the following year.
He made his professional debut with Sarpsborg 08’s second team on April 8, 2024, then appeared with the first team in the Norwegian Football Cup two days later.
Across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Job made 27 first-team appearances for Sarpsborg 08, scoring twice and adding three assists. He also showed his attacking potential with the club’s reserve side, scoring 10 goals.
Job spent the 2025 season with Egersunds IK in Norway’s second division before moving to Kongsvinger and producing his most complete professional season to date.
A native of Nigeria, Job developed through Future Pro Soccer Academy in Lagos before making the move to Europe.
At 5-foot-9, Job profiles as a quick, direct winger capable of attacking defenders in space and creating chances from wide positions. His age and contract designation also fit into FC Dallas’ broader roster-building philosophy, which has long placed an emphasis on young players with room to develop.
The U22 Initiative allows MLS clubs to invest in promising young players while receiving favorable salary-budget treatment, giving Dallas additional flexibility as it builds for both the present and future.
Job’s arrival also comes at an important point in FC Dallas’ season.
Dallas enters September fighting for position in the Western Conference while preparing to return to Toyota Stadium following an extended road stretch. Adding another explosive option in the final third could give head coach Eric Quill additional choices as the club pushes toward the postseason.
For Job, the move represents the latest step in a rapid rise that began in Nigeria and continued through several levels of Norwegian football.
Now, FC Dallas is betting that his combination of pace, creativity and production can translate to Major League Soccer.
Once his visa and transfer paperwork are complete, Job will officially join a Dallas attack looking to build momentum during the final weeks of the 2026 campaign.
