She also became the first player in Wings franchise history to win the competition.
Fudd scored 30 points in the final round, the second-highest championship-round total in WNBA 3-Point Contest history. She connected on 20 of 26 attempts, including eight of her final 10 shots.
The performance showcased the shooting ability that made Fudd one of the most highly regarded prospects entering the league.
Rookie Records Fall in Dallas
The former University of Connecticut standout also made her mark on the Wings’ record book.
Fudd set Dallas rookie single-season records for steals per game, total three-pointers made with 62 and three-pointers made per game.
She also set or tied several Wings rookie single-game marks, including 42 minutes, 44 seconds played, five steals and six made three-pointers.
