STWF Sports | SEATTLE | June 22, 2026 — The Dallas Wings needed every bucket, every stop and every second Monday night at Climate Pledge Arena. In one of their most dramatic games of the season, the Wings outlasted the Seattle Storm 112-110 in overtime behind milestone history from Paige Bueckers and a career night from Azzi Fudd.
Dallas improved to 11-6 with the win, taking its third victory in the last four games. Seattle dropped to 3-15 despite a monster performance from Dominique Malonga, who led all scorers with 37 points and added 12 rebounds.
Bueckers finished with 27 points, five rebounds and five assists, scoring 17 of her points between the fourth quarter and overtime. Her performance pushed her past 1,000 career points, making her the fourth-fastest player in WNBA history to reach the milestone. She hit the mark in 52 career games, tying Elena Delle Donne and finishing one game behind teammate Arike Ogunbowale, who reached 1,000 points in 51 games.
Bueckers also became the fastest player in league history to reach 1,000 points and 250 assists, another mark in a young career already moving at a historic pace.
Fudd delivered one of the biggest games of her rookie season, scoring a career-high 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting. She added three rebounds, two assists and four steals, then provided the decisive basket with 13.3 seconds left in overtime to put Dallas ahead for good.
The overtime period was a wild possession-by-possession battle. Eleven of the game’s 19 lead changes came in the extra frame, and neither team led by more than two points in overtime. Dallas scored 16 points in the period, the most the franchise has ever produced in a single overtime quarter. It was the Wings’ first overtime game of the season and their first overtime win since Aug. 6, 2022.
The Wings also made WNBA history with 48 field goals, breaking the previous league record of 47 set by the Phoenix Mercury in 2010.
Dallas shot 53.9 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range while committing only nine turnovers. The Wings also posted 30 assists for the fourth time this season, making them the only team in the league with multiple 30-assist games this year.
Aziaha James gave Dallas another key offensive lift with 18 points, six rebounds and six assists, tying her career high in assists. Jessica Shepard again flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Li Yueru added a season-high 10 points off the bench, giving Dallas important production in a game where every possession mattered.
Seattle shot 50.6 percent overall and 44.8 percent from deep, while going 19-of-21 at the free-throw line. Natisha Hiedeman helped lead the Storm attack with 11 assists, while Seattle kept answering Dallas throughout the second half and overtime.
The Wings opened the game strong, closing the first quarter with a 26-19 lead after a late three from James. Seattle responded in the second quarter, using a 14-0 run to erase a 13-point Dallas lead before taking a 42-40 advantage into halftime.
The third quarter turned into a game of runs. Seattle pushed its lead to nine, but Dallas answered behind Fudd and Yueru. Yueru beat the third-quarter buzzer with a three-pointer to give the Wings a 67-66 lead entering the fourth.
Dallas led by seven midway through the final quarter before Seattle rallied again. Bueckers carried the Wings late in regulation, scoring the team’s final eight points of the fourth, including the tying basket with 5.6 seconds left. Malonga had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but Awak Kuier contested the look and forced overtime.
In the extra period, James, Bueckers, Shepard and Fudd all made critical plays as the teams traded leads until the final seconds. After Fudd’s go-ahead basket, Shepard forced a Malonga turnover, and James split a pair of free throws to extend the lead to two. Hiedeman’s final heave missed, sealing a thrilling road win for Dallas.
The Wings now continue their road trip Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. CT, with the game airing locally on KFAA 29 and nationally on NBA TV.
