WNBA News: Dallas Wings Announce 2026 Nancy Lieberman Women of Inspiration Honorees

STWF Sports | ARLINGTON, Texas | July 17, 2026 — The Dallas Wings announced Friday that broadcaster Holly Rowe, business executive Anne Chow and philanthropic leader Dr. Froswa’ Booker-Drew, Ph.D., have been selected as the 2026 recipients of the organization’s annual Nancy Lieberman Women of Inspiration Awards.

The three honorees will be recognized Sunday during the Wings’ sold-out game against the Los Angeles Sparks as part of Dallas’ annual Inspiring Women celebration. The event will also feature women-owned businesses throughout the College Park Center concourse.

Celebrating the Dallas Wings’ Commitment to Empowering Women

Rowe was selected as the Trailblazer Woman of Inspiration Award recipient, recognizing a distinguished broadcasting career that has helped expand the visibility of women’s sports.

A three-time Emmy Award winner, Rowe has worked with ESPN since 1998 after previously contributing to ABC Sports during the 1995-96 season. Her reporting assignments have included major events across college football, basketball, softball and volleyball, along with prominent WNBA showcases such as the league’s Finals and Draft.

Rowe’s WNBA career began behind the scenes as a utility worker and stage manager before she advanced into an on-camera role. That path has made her one of the most recognizable and respected voices in women’s basketball coverage.

She received the 2022 Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Reporter and was honored that year with the Mel Greenberg National Media Award from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Rowe was also named the 2023 Curt Gowdy Electronic Media Award recipient by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Her impact has extended beyond national broadcasting. In 2021, Rowe became the first woman to serve as a Utah Jazz color commentator. A University of Utah graduate, she also has experience as a sportswriter, television anchor, documentary producer and feature writer.

Chow, the Businesswoman of Inspiration Award recipient, has built a career around leadership, inclusion and organizational transformation.

In 2019, she became the first woman of color to serve as a chief executive officer in AT&T’s more than 140-year history. As CEO of AT&T Business, Chow led a $35 billion global operating unit with more than 35,000 employees and guided the organization through the economic and operational challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her professional experience spans sales, marketing, operations, product management, customer service, network engineering and corporate strategy. Chow has twice been named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business and was included on Forbes’ inaugural CEO Next list.

She currently serves as lead director for FranklinCovey and is a member of the boards of 3M and CSX. Chow is also a senior fellow and adjunct professor of executive education at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Her book, Lead Bigger: The Transformative Power of Inclusion, became a national bestseller.

Dr. Booker-Drew was named the Community Woman of Inspiration Award recipient for her work in philanthropy, nonprofit leadership and community engagement.

She is the co-founder of HERitage Giving Circle, one of Texas’ first Black women’s giving circles, and helped establish Power in Action–Dallas and the South Dallas Employment Project. The latter brings together more than 200 organizations to support individuals affected by incarceration.

As president and CEO of Soulstice Consultancy, Dr. Booker-Drew advises organizations nationwide on philanthropy, leadership development, community strategy and organizational culture. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in public administration programs at Point Loma Nazarene University and Tulane University.

Her leadership has earned recognition from Project Unity, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, the League of Women Voters and the Texas Women’s Foundation, among other organizations.

Dr. Booker-Drew is the author of five books, including Empowering Charity: A New Narrative of Philanthropy. Her latest work, Front Porch Wisdom: Navigating Leadership Pressures and Barriers as a Woman of Color, was released in June 2025 and received multiple publishing honors.

Sunday’s ceremony will bring the three honorees together during one of the Wings’ signature community-focused events, celebrating women whose influence reaches across sports, business and public service.
