STWF Sports | ARLINGTON, Texas | July 14, 2026 — Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers has added another milestone to her rapidly growing professional résumé.
The WNBA announced Tuesday that Bueckers was named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from July 2 through July 12. The honor is the first weekly conference award of her career and follows her selection as the Associated Press Player of the Week on Monday.
Bueckers is the second Dallas player to receive the WNBA award this season. Jessica Shepard earned Western Conference Player of the Week recognition twice, on May 31 and June 23, giving the Wings three weekly honors during the 2026 campaign.
The award comes after Bueckers powered Dallas through a perfect five-game stretch. The Wings went 5-0 during the voting period, extending their winning streak to its longest since the 2023 season.
Bueckers averaged 23.6 points, 7.4 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game during the run. She led Dallas in scoring in four of the five victories while delivering production as both a primary scorer and playmaker.
Her week began July 2 with a complete performance against the Connecticut Sun. Bueckers scored a game-high 25 points, collected seven rebounds and handed out seven assists as the Wings overcame a 14-point deficit to earn an 86-83 road victory.
Three days later, she paced Dallas with 22 points in an 89-76 win over the Toronto Tempo. Bueckers then contributed 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists as the Wings defeated the New York Liberty 88-77 on July 7.
Her most explosive performance came July 10 in Montreal.
Playing before 20,996 fans at the Bell Centre in the first WNBA game held in the city, Bueckers erupted for a season-high 34 points in Dallas’ 108-95 victory over Toronto. She shot 13-of-22 from the field, converted all six of her free-throw attempts and added six rebounds and six assists.
The 34-point effort marked the fourth 30-point game of her WNBA career. It also demonstrated her ability to deliver on a major stage, as Dallas pulled away in front of a record-setting crowd.
Bueckers completed the award period with another standout showing July 12 against the Chicago Sky. She recorded 22 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and one block in a 96-91 victory, posting the fourth double-double of her career.
Eight of her 22 points came in the fourth quarter, continuing a season-long trend of late-game production. Bueckers currently leads the WNBA with 138 fourth-quarter points, an indication of her growing influence during the most important moments of games.
The Chicago performance was also her 14th game with at least 20 points this season, the second-highest total in the league.
Already a two-time WNBA All-Star starter, Bueckers has continued to expand her role within a Dallas team building momentum in the Western Conference. Her scoring versatility has been accompanied by improved command as a facilitator, allowing the Wings to create offense through multiple lineups and styles of play.
The weekly honor reflects both Bueckers’ individual excellence and the Wings’ collective surge. Dallas received contributions throughout the roster during its unbeaten stretch, but Bueckers repeatedly provided the scoring, decision-making and composure needed to close games.
The Wings will return to College Park Center on Thursday, July 16, for another matchup against the New York Liberty. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT as Dallas looks to extend its winning streak and continue one of its strongest stretches of the season.
