STWF Sports | MONTREAL | July 10, 2026 — The Dallas Wings have one more stop before heading home, and they enter Friday night’s matchup with momentum, history and another chance to strengthen their position in the standings.
Dallas will close its four-game road trip on July 10 against the Toronto Tempo at Bell Centre in Montreal. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, with the game airing nationally on ION. Brendan Glasheen will handle play-by-play, joined by analyst Kim Adams and sideline reporter Ashley Docking.
The Wings enter at 14-8 after an impressive 88-77 road win over the New York Liberty on Tuesday night at Barclays Center. The victory extended Dallas’ winning streak to three games and marked one of the team’s most complete performances of the season.
Jessica Shepard led the way with another historic outing, recording her third triple-double of the year. She finished with a career-high tying 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, once again showing why she has become one of the most versatile frontcourt players in the league. Shepard owns all three triple-doubles recorded in the WNBA this season and continues to serve as the connective piece in Dallas’ offense.
Awak Kuier also delivered a career night against New York, posting her first double-double with 10 points, a career-high 12 rebounds, a career-high seven assists and a game-high three blocks. Her defensive length, improved confidence and outside shooting gave Dallas another major lift in a matchup between two teams that entered with identical records.
With the win, the Wings earned multiple victories over the Liberty in a single regular-season series for the first time since 2022. It was also the first time since the franchise relocated to North Texas that Dallas picked up multiple road victories over New York in the same season.
Dallas Wings’ Resilience on the Road
Now, the Wings shift their focus back to Toronto.
Dallas and the Tempo met just four days ago at Coca-Cola Coliseum in the first-ever matchup between the two franchises. The Wings controlled that game from start to finish, earning an 89-76 win behind balanced scoring and strong rebounding.
All active Dallas players logged minutes in the victory, and all five starters finished in double figures. Paige Bueckers led the Wings with 22 points, three rebounds and seven assists, continuing her steady run as one of the league’s most efficient and productive guards. Azzi Fudd added 17 points, while Shepard posted another double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
That kind of balance has been one of Dallas’ biggest strengths. When the Wings get production from multiple starters and keep the ball moving, their offense becomes difficult to slow. Against Toronto, Dallas also controlled the glass and second-chance opportunities, areas that could again shape Friday’s meeting.
Toronto enters at 9-12 and looking to stop a three-game skid. The Tempo dropped their latest contest Wednesday against the Golden State Valkyries, 83-75. Isabelle Harrison led Toronto with 24 points, while Marina Mabrey added 11.
Harrison and Mabrey give the Tempo familiar names for Dallas fans. Both previously played for the Wings, and both remain capable of impacting the game in different ways. Harrison brings interior scoring and toughness, while Mabrey provides perimeter shot-making and playmaking.
For Dallas, the challenge will be staying sharp against a team getting a quick second look. Toronto will have adjustments ready after Sunday’s loss, especially after struggling to contain the Wings’ balance and second-chance scoring.
The Wings will look to finish the road trip unbeaten and continue building on their best start through 22 games in franchise history. With Shepard playing at an All-WNBA level, Bueckers controlling the backcourt and Kuier coming off a career-best performance, Dallas arrives in Montreal with confidence.
Friday night offers another chance to prove this winning streak is no small run. The Wings are rolling, and one more road win would send them home with plenty of momentum.
