STWF Sports | ARLINGTON, Texas | June 15, 2026 — The Dallas Wings return to College Park Center on Monday night looking to bounce back quickly from a one-point road loss, but the challenge will be a major one. Dallas will host the Las Vegas Aces on June 15 at 7 p.m. CT in a matchup between two of the WNBA’s strongest early-season teams.
Dallas Wings: A Look Ahead
The Wings enter the game at 8-5, while Las Vegas arrives at 10-3 after another strong start behind its championship-tested core. The game will air nationally on USA Network, with Carlan Gay handling play-by-play, Amy Audibert serving as analyst and Edona Thaqi reporting from the sideline. Locally, fans can watch on KFAA, with Ron Thulin, Kim Adams and Alexis Davis on the call.
Monday’s game will also carry a community focus. The Wings are partnering with Dallas Animal Services for a dog adoption activation at College Park Center. An adoption truck will be stationed on the plaza, with 19 puppies available for fans to meet onsite. Players are also scheduled to take walk-in photos with adoptable dogs, while fans can visit a puppy playpen on the concourse and stop by the DAS table outside the suites to learn more about the adoption process.
The event holds special meaning for Wings head coach Jose Fernandez, whose family has eight rescue dogs. That connection adds a personal touch to a night that blends basketball with community impact.
On the court, Dallas will try to respond after a dramatic 84-83 loss to the Portland Fire on Saturday night at Moda Center. The first-ever regular season meeting between the Wings and Fire turned into a fourth-quarter thriller, featuring nine ties and 14 lead changes. The final quarter alone included five ties and four lead changes before Portland made a free throw with 1.7 seconds left to seal the win.
Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with a game-high 22 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. She also added six rebounds and two assists while continuing to carry a heavy offensive load. Azzi Fudd finished with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks, giving the Wings another strong scoring option on the perimeter.
Dallas played that game without Paige Bueckers, who was ruled out before tipoff because of a right ankle injury. Bueckers has been the Wings’ leading scorer and primary floor organizer, so her availability will remain one of the major storylines entering Monday’s matchup. Without her, Dallas leaned on Ogunbowale, Fudd, Aziaha James and Jessica Shepard to keep the game within reach.
The Wings have already shown they can handle Las Vegas. Dallas defeated the Aces 95-87 on May 28 in Arlington, overcoming a 13-point deficit to earn its first win over Las Vegas since August 27, 2024. That victory was one of the Wings’ signature performances of the season.
Jessica Shepard made WNBA history in that meeting, recording the league’s first triple-double with at least 22 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists. Her performance anchored Dallas inside and gave the Wings control of the glass and the pace late. Fudd also made a major impact, scoring 22 points in her first WNBA start and proving she could handle a bigger role in a high-profile matchup.
Las Vegas enters Monday after surviving its own close contest, defeating the Minnesota Lynx 100-97 on Saturday night. A’ja Wilson powered the Aces with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Chelsea Gray delivered 23 points and connected on six of her 10 three-point attempts. Their production highlighted the balance that continues to make Las Vegas one of the league’s most difficult teams to defend.
For Dallas, the keys will be defensive discipline, rebounding and limiting Las Vegas’ perimeter rhythm. The Wings cannot afford long scoring droughts against an Aces team capable of turning small mistakes into quick runs. Dallas will also need another strong night from Shepard inside, along with efficient shot-making from Ogunbowale and Fudd.
Monday’s matchup gives the Wings an opportunity to protect home court, respond to a tough road loss and prove their earlier win over Las Vegas was no fluke. Against one of the WNBA’s elite teams, Dallas has another chance to make a statement in Arlington.
